A Series of Training and Sport Medicine Sessions Designed for our Open and Premier Athletes!

Open and Premier Athletes (SCA membership required)
Series starts May 2
Zoom Virtual
$25 Early Bird Registration
($50 After April 30th)
Space is Limited

Athletes who attend all sessions will be entered into a draw to win a $500 scholarship towards their cheer tuition/fees!

Training

Kenny Feeley of Spring CDT will be helping athletes make the transition to Level 7/Premier through a series of virtual training sessions.
Sessions will be Sundays at 7:00pm for 1.5 hours on May 2, 9 & 16
Training covered will include:
-Flipping Mechanics
-Catching & Safety Protocol
-Tips & Tricks for Manipulating Mistakes
-Fast Recovery
-Strength & Posture
-Shoulder Stand Mechanics
-Toss Technique
-Breakdown of Flyer Mechanics
-Mental Mindset of a Level 7/Premier Athlete
-Transition your Level 6 skill set to Level 7

Sport Medicine

Presented in partnership with the Sport and Medicine Council of Saskatchewan, athletes will learn how to improve and set goals outside the gym.  Sessions are Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm

May 5 – Optimal Sports Nutrition instructed by Theo PhillipsSport Nutrition workshop focusing on fuel requirements for sport performance (carbohydrates, proteins and fast), timing of intake (pre, during and recovery) and hydration planning.

May 12- Mental Performance Goals instructed by Karissa Johnson: A workshop educating on goal setting, setting realistic short term & long term goals, monitoring goals.

May 19- Mental Performance Team & Culture instructed by Karissa Johnson: A workshop educating on cohesion, trust, and team building.

May 26- Sleep & Performance instructed by Heather Hynes: A workshop educating on Sleep quality and quantity, deprivation, effects on sleep through travel, nutrition, exercise and mental, medical considerations, and how to sleep better.
