First AiD & CPR

All coaches are required to hold valid First Aid and CPR certification to be considered certified by the SCA.

Only certifications from the Canadian Red Cross or St. John Ambulance will be accepted.

Important Updates:

• The SIPAC course is no longer recognized as valid First Aid certification. However, coaches who completed SIPAC within the last three years will have until October 2026 to complete valid training.

• Any previous exemptions (e.g., registered nurses not requiring First Aid/CPR) will likely no longer apply, as Cheer Canada is moving to a standardized certification process for all coaches.
