What is Team Sask Pom?

Team Sask Pom is Saskatchewan’s provincial high-performance pom team, bringing together talented dancers from across the province to train, perform, and compete at the highest levels of the sport.

The program provides athletes with the opportunity to work alongside dancers from different studios, schools, and communities while developing advanced technical skills, performance quality, teamwork, and leadership. Athletes participate in a series of training camps throughout the season led by experienced provincial coaches and choreographers.

Team Sask Pom competes in the ICU Pom division and may be selected to represent Saskatchewan at national championships. Teams that achieve qualifying standards may also earn the opportunity to represent Canada at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships, competing against the best national teams from around the world.

The program is designed for dedicated athletes who are looking to challenge themselves, gain high-performance experience, and proudly represent Saskatchewan on the national and international stage.

Team Canada Pom

The 2025–2026 season marks the second consecutive year that Team Sask Pom has been selected to represent Canada at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships. Entering its third season as an SCA program, Team Sask Pom has quickly established itself as one of Canada’s leading provincial performance cheer programs.

For those unfamiliar with the cheerleading pathway, Team Canada Pom is the highest level of pom competition recognized by the International Cheer Union (ICU), the world governing body for cheerleading. National teams from around the globe compete at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships, making it one of the most prestigious opportunities available to pom athletes.

Selection as Team Canada is based on performance at the Canadian Cheerleading Championships, where teams are evaluated against national and international standards. Earning the opportunity to represent Canada for a second consecutive year is a remarkable achievement and reflects the talent, dedication, and commitment of Saskatchewan athletes and coaches.

Team Sask Pom was created to provide Saskatchewan dancers with a clear pathway to high-performance competition and international representation. While we are incredibly proud of our success to date, our focus remains on building a sustainable program that will continue to develop athletes and represent Canada on the world stage for years to come.
