The SCA is proud to celebrate 14 years of safer, stronger cheerleading with our best event yet! Over 1600 athletes from across the entire province will come together for the capstone competition of the 2019-2020 cheerleading season. Provincials will showcase both school and all-star teams in cheerleading, pom, jazz, and hip hop. We are very excited to bring together athletes from 3 years of age all the way to adults for this event.

All Other Divisions = $30/athlete/team

The SCA has reserved a block of rooms at the Warman Days Inn and Suites. The room rate is $129 (plus taxes) for a stylish two queen bed guest room, including a full hot breakfast buffet and access to the pool and waterslide facilities. WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS!
Each year the SCA will accept bids to set-up, tear down and/or to host provincials from member teams. The SCA board will select clubs/schools (or teams) based on the following criteria: administrative support; reasoning given by the club/school as to why they would be a great volunteers; and man-power to perform the duties as required. All volunteers receive an honorarium for their time, therefore it is an excellent fundraiser for a team or club. The following links are to the application forms for applying to volunteer:

Fan zone will be located on the floor directly in front of the competition performance surface – this area is for friends and family members of the team performing. We kindly ask you to be seated prior to your team’s routine and exit immediately after your team is done performing to let the next set of family and friends view their team.
Coaches and Athlete Arrival
Teams and coaches, please check-in at our registration table located in the warm-up gym. Teams are welcome to gather and claim space around the warm-up areas. Please keep this space tidy. PACE
Warm-up & Competition Area Information
Teams will need to check in to the warm-up area four minutes prior to their warm up time. Only athletes and certified coaches are permitted in the warm up area.
The warm up area will have four stations: 1st will be a 2-mat stretch area, 2nd will be a 3-mat dead floor stunt warm-up, 3rd will be a be a 60ft x 12ft sprung tumble strip and last will 9-mat dead floor with stereo. Each station will be 4 minutes (2 minutes for specialty routines).
Teams will enter the competition floor from the back left side of the mat (audience’s view). After performing, teams will exit to the back right of the mats. Video playback will be behind the backdrop to the right of the competition floor. The competition floor is a 54ft X 42ft full sprung floor. There will be lighting, full production, and video playback!
**note: SCA will do everything to ensure our warm-up is as described however modifications may be required due to availability of equipment and necessary placement.**
All teams must provide their own music either on iPod, iPhone, MP3, or CD. A sound system will be provided. Speed control is not available. Music checks on the main sound system are not permitted. A representative must be present at the sound system at the time of the performance. Advisors/coaches are asked to hold onto their own music until the time of performance and to take music back following the performance. Devices must be on Airplane mode and volume set to max. The music/DJ is located right of the competition floor.
SCA uses Cheer Canada’s score sheets and judging methodology. For divisions on the rubric scoring system, scoring ranges and deductions/legalities will be available to coaches to view approximately 10 minutes after your team competes. Coaches will have 15 minutes to submit an appeal once their scores are ready.

Specialty Routines Policy
Group and Partner stunt, Indys and Duos will be offered at the discretion of the Provincials committee. Group, Partner Stunt, Indy, or Duo routines will be restricted by levels per age divisions. An example of how the divisions might be restricted is a youth athlete can only compete in levels 2 and 3. The committee will create and approve the divisions and levels offered at provincials annually.
