SUMMARY:Sport Injury Prevention and Care (SIPAC) Workshop – Saskatoon
DESCRIPTION:Sunday, October 22nd from 9:00am to 5:00pm\nFree for all SCA registered coaches. A 2023-2024 SCA membership is required.\nThe SIPAC workshop (formerly know as “Sports First Aid”) is recognized by the SCA as training equivalent to First Aid and will count towards coaching certification. This training is provided to us by the Sport Medicine & Science Council of Saskatchewan (SMSCS) and is a 7-hour classroom course with content that deals with sport specific issues relating to:\n\nliability\nfitness & injury prevention\nfacility awareness\nprotective equipment\nemergency action plans\nthe medical kit\nlife threatening injuries\ninjury recognition\ncommon injuries all geared towards sport in general.\n\nThis course is taught by a Sport Physiotherapist certified by Sport Physio Canada or a Certified Athletic Therapist certified by the Canadian Association of Athletic Therapy.\n
